West Egg Security is currently seeking a security door person to ensures the safety and security of patrons, staff, and property by monitoring the premises, enforcing venue rules, and handling disturbances or emergencies in a professional and controlled manner. The security door person will be responsible for maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment at nightlife venues, events, or bars in accordance with Ontario laws and regulations. They ensure only eligible patrons enter the premises and manage security-related issues calmly and professionally.

Job duties:

• Greet guests in a professional and respectful manner
• Check IDs
• Maintain crowd control and prevent overcapacity
• Monitor guest behavior and diffuse conflicts when necessary
• Escort individuals out of the premises when required
• Report incidents to management and/or law enforcement as needed
• Perform regular patrols of the venue to ensure safety
• Communicate with other security staff via radio or mobile
• Enforce venue policies and safety protocols
• Check IDs to ensure patrons are 19+ and verify against signs of intoxication.
• De-escalate conflicts and handle disorderly conduct without use of excessive force.
• Control crowd flow at entrances, exits, and inside the venue.
• Monitor patron behavior and intervene when necessary.
• Conduct searches if required (in line with venue policy and provincial law).
• Liaise with Toronto Police Services or paramedics in emergency situations.
• Complete incident reports accurately and promptly.
• Conduct perimeter checks and monitor security systems if in place.
• Support evacuation procedures if necessary.

Qualifications:

• Valid Ontario Security Guard License (mandatory).
• Smart Serve Certification (Mandatory).
• Prior experience as a Bouncer in Canada for at least 1 year or more.
• First Aid/CPR certification (preferred).
• Strong physical presence and fitness level.
• Experience in hospitality security, nightlife, or event security.
• Clear communication and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Prior experience in nightlife security or crowd management preferred
• Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
• Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods
• Calm under pressure and able to make quick decisions
• Must be reliable, professional, and punctual

Working Conditions:

• Primarily late-night and weekend hours.
• Must work in high-noise, high-energy environments.
• Standing or walking for long periods.
• Exposure to difficult or intoxicated individuals.

Work Location: In person
